Our Technology Philosophy — LFP First
While most Indian EV brands use NMC batteries for their higher energy density, VDG Motors EV made an early decision to go exclusively with LFP (Lithium Iron Phosphate) technology. This decision was driven by three facts:
- India's climate is hot — LFP handles heat far better than NMC
- Indian customers need long battery life — LFP offers 2,000+ vs 500–800 cycles for NMC
- Safety is non-negotiable — LFP cannot undergo thermal runaway
